Had Two mark 1's and look after two mark 3's. All the comments above apply they are nippy cars for their size, but as they age they seem to suffer from loads of silly faults. Have replaced alternators on two (admittely mistreated), starter. Seem to shar alsorts of idle/vacuum probs withthe escorts. Once given a little TLC and tuned properly they're great though.

My first car was an F reg orion 1.6i Ghia.I absolutely loved that car and have always regretted selling it.I had it for 8 months and had to fit a starter & alternator but even so its still the best car I,ve ever had.Just wish I could persuade my other half to let me get another.

Had an orion 1.3 for over a year and can say older orions are rust buckets, clutch is murder to replace, leaks water, apart from that its a cheap car that may cost you in garage fees unless your a DIY'er.

Reliable but parks like a tank! Lack of power steering is a pain.
