this is the best first car ever!ive given this car soo mutch stick!really drain it for all its worth,never brakes down,go-kart like handling.dont make it look stupid with that sound system and stripes everywhere,its just a comedy car!get a years no claims and then get a real car!
always owned fiesta. decided to buy another but this time brand new. paid £8380, discovered it had a faulty braking system when driving 70mph on m6. trauma. enquired about part exchanging it so went back to ford dealer where purchased. at 3 months and 11 days old, the car was valued at £5200 losing £3180. what a huge joke. kept the car and a year later the suspension had to be replaced because cracking had started to appear. what another huge joke. never again will i buy a ford
My 1980 Fiesta 1.1 was my first car. I inherited it from a relative who lived in the Isle of Man with only 36000 miles on the clock. That was 3 years ago and it's only broken down once! A minor repair and we're off again. I'll be sticking to these, only next time I'll be after an xr2. By the way, 98mph wouldn't suprise me, I've topped the speedo a couple of times! mind you, it was going downhill. Great car though.
i own a mk1 xr2 it's stratto's silver,i owned three others when i was in my early 20's i did not think i would own another but i am glad i do because everywhere i go around glasgow my wee car turns heads because it has stood the test of time quite well,just need a white one and thats me had all the colours...
i sold my mk1 A reg xr2 about 8 year ago A651HBV i loved this car.if anyones seen it can u let me no,it was mint,only fault was the insurance at the time.wish i would of kept it in the garage.u learn by mistakes
I have a mk3 festa 1.1popPlus she's a little angel, never letting me down once. Only bad bit been she doesnt like hills specially when there's more than 2 people in the car - goes down them great though. Is very cheap on fuel, doesnt leak, very little rust and very reliable. This is my first car and will always remeber her even when shes in Festa heaven x.
Can anyone give me some advice? I have a N reg Fiesta 1600 Si, battery went flat so I put a new one on but now it wont start & when I take the key out the ignition all the dashboard lights stay on!! Doesnt want to fire up or nothing. Someone told me it could be the coil pack whatever that is but I aint got a clue. Right before Xmas too! Any ideas?

Just Brought a MK 3 H reg Fiesta 1.0 Popular for £300.Its only got 46,589 miles on the clock,couple of bubble patches by the petrol cap and on the front by the tow point.Inside's pretty dusty but nothing a good valet wont do.!!! Need to slap some bass in and maybe a kit and a respray when the weather picks up.Aiiight
Well all you boy racers with your go faster stripes & mega dega stereo, fango jango body kits & lowered, fattened blown up suspension kits, 1 million bhp........etc. mine is a bog standard 1.1, nearly rusty, good on juice & gets the kids to school. Had my MK1 for 3 1/2 years still running an 1100 with only 42000 on the clock. I have a full janspeed manifold and exhaust system with a k&n filter, supersport rear bumper and MK2 escort front 1/4 bumpers, XR2 lights with clear indicators and rear lenses. Also lowered on AVO adjustable suspension with XR2 bodykit. Have had 98mph in this little baby with the mods. Excellent little car, wouldn't sell it for the world.
i got a 1.1 lx and its fab! its my first car and i love it. but the acceleration is shite, the exhaust is like a water tap when you pull off and it pverheats! i got a phat sound system. jbl power max gt series sub, sony mosfet amps (3) kenwood bass unit, pioneer bass unit, megavox (800 watt) 6"x9"s, jvc head unit, gold plated rca cables. the system is immence. loudest in my area! worth more than the car! overall its a perfect first car! but dont bother with moding it up, its a shit engine.
All fords are crap.Why does everyone have Ford imbedded in their brains.If you want a good car get a rover 220 Turbo,youll have a hard time beating one.I have currently got a Rover 216 Gti with 112,000 miles on the clock,runs like a dream and aint slow especially for a 1.6.What chance have Ford got when they produce a car like the xr3i and the RS Turbo.RS Turbo only produces 133 BHP and they look shit no matter what you do to them.my standard 1.6 Gti could keep up with one especially considering the turbo lag on one of those things.Rover built the 220 Turbo Gti,Gsi and coupe with a standard 200 Bhp,but as per usual Ford built a cheap and nasty slow car.Most of the Fords i see burn more oil than petrol.One question to all of you Ford fans.WHY.The Rover coupe rules and looks a million times better than any Ford.Thanks for reading my point has been made
I bought a little 1.0 for my g/f 18th and its lovely, never let her down and costs nothing to mot each year, someone did break into it last night, but we'll get over that, they broke the steering wheel and stole the crook lock but couldn't start her.
Oh and I have a 306XTDT 1.9 Turbo, I read one of you thinks your xr2 can take it?? Go on have a go then :)
MY MK1 HAD 40,000 MILES ON THE CLOCK WHEN I BOUGHT IT SIX MONTHS AGO AND ALL THAT HAS CAUSED ME TROUBLE IS A SLIGHT OIL LEAK FROM THE ROCKER COVER AND A SET OF BRAKE PADS. I've got a 1.0 Popular Plus. Picked it up for nothing, as it had a front end smash. However, its all sorted now, and back on the road with no probs. The only thing that bugs me is that it seems to use a lot of oil. Does anyone know if this is common, because its quite worrying, especially if you forget to top up the oil!
I have a 1.3 fiesta flight, it is a great car with great MPG. It has a 1.3 Endura-e engine which can be quite noisey at time especially when in low gear. It will be 3 years old in march 2004 and it has had 3 oil changes and is well looked after. I am expecting thhis car to last for many years.
