Novas, all well and good until you want to race a real car. i own a renault clio 2.0 williams. very fast and your all jelous i no. why buy a car for £300, throw £6000 at it for bodykits and engine transplants when you can get hold of the williams for about £5000? I'll tell you why, because you ponsy 17-18 year old boy racers carn't handle real cars, my clio it turbo'd (thatnks to k-tech racing) and i,ve had nitrous fitted last week, pushing 35obhp with other mods, close ratio gear box means it's a real scooby slayer, so come on BOYS, buy a real car!!!
And this car can take 325hp through the wheels, can it? It'd tear itself to pieces.....and still look like a 1980's box of filler laden arched parrots droppings. While I enjoy your enthusiasm it might be better to deal with better cars in the future......

my nova was free given to me as scrap!.a well spent 02/03 winter in my warm garage and 1400 euro´s later my taty old opel corsa had been transformed into a screaming 1300cc matchbox on wheels! cost a lot less to buy and to run than a small classic sports car and just as much fun to drive. The car done 247,757km when i got it,since finishing the project ive done about 2500km of hard driving e.g nürburgring and the fantastic german roads, and not a problem so far??? But as with all cars theres always a better one!!!,my A6 tdi quattro,my wifes bmw 330d,her dads AMG mercedes, lotus, aston martin, etc, etc, etc. although i would not like drive the nova on my daily 240km autobahn stint to work the audi A6 is to boring for a late night drive to the petrol station to get some cigs.my point is they all get you from A to B, COMFORT or FUN its upto you?
NOVA-- a good,quick,cheep runabout.(quick only when modified)
The nova is a superb little car, cheap to tax and insure and you dont need deep pockets when it comes to repairs, what more can i say? if you have one keep it! and give it loads of t l c it wont let you down.

Hey Everyone. I had to post this comment and say how sorry I am to my boyfriend. He's got a Nova which he is modifying and it looks great, no doubt about that and he's Nova is going to look WAY better than anyone else's. But more to the point of this message, I'm sorry I don't really pay attention to your car, I love it and I think it looks great. Youve worked really hard on it and when youve finished you can start working hard on me! Love you babe
i have a 13sr not realy that quick,0-60 about 10.5 with the mods ive done, like 1.6 carb, stanless system, k&n, gte down pipes.standard they are 70 bhp,to get it to 100bhp would cost a fear wack of money so why not buy a 1.6 gte engine which will drop sraight in and put a carb on it which will save you money and you get a fear bit more performance. the best carb to fit is a 1.8 veryjet of a old cav, it will work out cheaper rather than going out buying a stainless for £250 kam for£250 which wont give you the performance of 1.6 so save your money and buy a 1.6.
