i have a yamaha rxs with an energy induction kit but the last owner took the oil pump off should i mix the oil in the tank and if so what synthetic should the oil be.
I bought mine second hand in december 2003 (G reg) all i had to do to mine was replace the indicator bulbs. It starts first time and can take a good thrashing now and again and a full tank lasts about a week, Old bikes rule cos their basic unlike todays bikes that are realy complicated and a pain in the backside to repair with todays strict warranty rules.
Its a lovely bike ,but the annoyin thing i found was the rear chrome mudguards rusted so quick. Luckily i found someone who make a non gen fibreglass mud guard pacifically to overcome this problem. It was easily paintable and was the last rear mudguard i had to buy .Its still looking new 2yrs on

It's probably the cheapest bike you can own and is simple to maintain. 72 mph and 67-82mpg depending on riding style. 6V electrics are shit, needs reasonable tyres to handle and it's best to gear it down a little if you are big.Pretty crash proof (unless complete loon) but get ready to rev if you want to go quickly. Motorways are torture but wouls always recommend one for commuting or as a cheap hack.

Well what can I say. On my CBT this bike was superb. 100 miles to a tank which cost's around £5 to top up. Great in the city and heavy traffic as its small and nippy and you can lean it over a bit, I'm not talking rossi style here though. As a learner bike on 'L' plates or just a cheap commuter its excellent but struggles to get over fifty and keep it there so town/city riding is best. Only gripe is they only have the right mirror but £15 later I had the other installed. If your after looks and power forget it, its cheap and reliable, but you can still get it too ppo a wheelie in 2nd...expecially when your girl freind has put chain lube on the clutch leaver thinking its helpful when you say it's a bit stiff!?!
