In poland there are many holes in roads :) All sportbike riders must watch out, not to loose their wheels on the road.. With my vara I don't even feel them. After 6 months I can tell you that almost everyone think it's 650ccm :) I love the sound of my vara engine.. I ALSAW RECOMEND YOU TO MAKE 8 HOLES IN BACK OF YOUR EXHAUST,YOU WILL LOVE THE EFFECTS. One minus of this bike is not so good performance... I think it will change when I will buy 160ccm cylindres, and sport exhaust. Honda Varadero is best 125 on the world !!!
Cornering massively improved after fitting Battlax BT45 tyres! Bit rusty after only two years I think. Running costs cheap (so far) and reliable as hell.

Have rode the bike for about 2 years. So far, it has been performing as it should. Fuel consumption is also good and accpetable. In Singapore, Dero is the "biggest" in terms of outlook or size. It never fails to make heads turns while stopping at traffic lights. Even seasoned riders mistook it as a 400cc or higher cc bike.
Good value for money.

It seems like all you other guys come from uk, because I m from Finland I don t know how much you have payed for your varadero. In Finland motorbikes are very well taxed by the goverment I payed 6000 euros from my bike. I have drived only 900 kilometers but I would like it to go a little more faster. I would be thankful if somebody would tell me where are the limiters of the bike and how much does the original parts cost in the uk? The meaning was to make my bike a 25kw and the speed should be then min. 170kmph. when now only 122kmph. Thank u allready and have a very rainy summer in where the hell you are. - Antero-

Reading the other comments I would have to agree with everyone, the 125 Vara is a good bike for that large bike feel. I would like to ask if anyone know if there is a workshop manual avaliably for this model, who prints it and were can I get one. Thanks for your help

Bought mine 2nd hand approx.1 month ago. It was 6 months old with only 535 miles and 650pounds under new list price, bargain. Its too new to know how reliable it will be, but so far so good. I've noticed a few comments on this site regarding water(mayonaise)in the oil. I have the same problem and you can see it on the oil spy glass and around the filler cap. Someone has suggested this is a design fault, however on speaking with numerous mechanics it would appear that this is common on four stroke 125's and down to condensation?? Any comments on this would be appreciated. Another matter of minor annoyance is that you cannot de-restrict the thing so 15 brake is your lot, unlike the sporty 2 strokes. Other than this it's great for round town and very comfortable. All my work collegues thought it was a 600 as the engine is deceptively large with the fake plastic heads.
Really fun bike. Swapped the off road tyres for some Bridgestone Battlax BT45s which make cornering more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Have had my Varadero for some months now, done about 2500 miles. I bought it as it was the largest 125cc bike anyone had ever seen! Easy to ride, easy to start and cheap to run (so far). Hoping it will retain some re-sale value when I come to chop it in for something a little larger when I take my full test. I rate it 9/10.

It's now two weeks old, been out three times and covered 194 miles, It's not as fast as I thought it would be but I am still running it in and I don't wish to push it over 5000 rpm. I bought the bike because it was one of the bigger options and it is much more comfortable than the alternative 125 trailies types. The main reason for purchasing this bike was to gain exprience to pass my bike test then to keep hold of it hopfully, to bring my no claims down before opting for somthing a bit bigger, in the meantime I will have decided if I enjoy it enough to contine biking (no problems so far) I will update this space as I do more miles
