can anyone help? read all the advise in dtr reviews and derestricted my dtR125R as follows: cut open the front pipe and removed all crap increased jet to a 260 and adjusted the power valve so that the flat side is flush with the top of the port. put it back together and flew up the road flat out 45 mph 5-6000revs worse than before i touched it. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHATS WRONG?
Hi, ive gota 92 dt and its had prity much all you can do 2 it 2 make it faster powervalve, race carb, reeds, exhast, bored out etc! and it faster than the fat bitch ho sat down 2 fast, in other words it flies! welies in 3rd. it goes trough the gears in no time and u get good use of the powervalve in 6th. freinds with experiance of bikes, how have dared come on the back say it 1 of the fastest 125around, untill it blew up. melted a hole throug the piston at well over 80mph@11,000rpm the carb not been tuned propery did not help but the hole thing is getin rebuilt 4 next summer so watch out!
The dtr in my eyes is the best leaner legal motorbike around.My dtr gets me 0-60 in about 3.4 seconds and carries on to 167 mph.This is standard!!!Faster than an etheopian in a lunch cue.It can piss all over most fucking fanny boy racers.Fuck the lot of you.
hi there i ve had a dt for a while now for use just off road. changed the standard exhaust for a full big one system , installed carbon race reeds and am just about to buy a k&N but i dont know what size of jets i need to re jet the carb. can anyone help? its a 1993 dt. cheers Ross

adding a bigger carb will work if you engine is breathing enough to give enough air flow it might be a cheaper option to get the standard carb jetted and set up for your bike as you will need to set up a bigger carb anyway and probably change jets.
had dt about 3 months now 1999 model got it for 950 powervalve set up, went ok but had a dep made with a round tail pipe not the funny looking oval shape looks sounds and goes the nuts with a 260 jet all for 75 quid not wat you know but who you know reeds a new ring and plug next month. has anybody tried fitting two base gaskets have been told it raises the port a little to give a bit more top end was wondering if anyone has had any luck with this or not

Hey all im 14 have a 91 dt125-r its water cooled disk brackes the lot an openedn power valve its in great condtion and its used for offroad but i have the dvla so it could be put on road i need to sell it because ive been told by many people i must start racing and need a better bike im hoping to get £750 for it ,will i if not how can i email me on [Log in to view email] plz help.

hi ive got a 2001dt and just wanted to know where the restrictors are some people have said the exhaust has a disc in but is it on the front or in the silencer also cdi does this need adjusting also can you get stronger springs for the forks or shock because they are really soft if any one has replaced them please let us know or will more oil cure it please help email address [Log in to view email]
K&N don't stock a air filter model directly for the DTR, so measure the back of the carb in mm and the length or depth of the outer lip of the back of the carb - then they can match an off the shelf filter. Gives you 3-5 more BHP. Be aware if you take your DTR of road into watery conditions, that you now have a lower height level before water could flood the carb when wading your DTR thru rivers etc! - if you havent - you should try it! fun! ;0)
If like me, you find Boysen reeds hard to get, try http://www.dirtbikestore.com for Hytech racing reeds. Good product, not carbon reeds but a fibre resin. Definite improvement over std ones.
