Full DEP pipe for sale at racespec.com which is linked by a lot of the boyz below so have a look down the page.

Has anyone got a CDI unit off a pre 92 DTR? Having a bit of a mare finding one and some supermoto rims are proving impossible to find at a good price!!

I think the DTR kicks the ass out of a KMX any day
The difference between a DT and a DTR is about 20 years and quite a bit of power, The DTR is the smartest option.

Has anyone supermoto'd their DTR yet?
If so how much did it cost and how did you do it?

The DTR owners website is an exellent idea and a tuning & mod's page would be quality!

Does anyone have a CDI unit off a pre 92 DTR they want to sell?

i reackon you would be able to do it for under 300 quid get a set of dt wheels 50 second hand excel rims 100 set tyres 100 and 50 to lace the hubs and rims but i would agree the 426 is a bit more fun but imagine the looks you would get on a sm dt

if you wanna supermoto your dt the best way around it is to buy some second hand dt wheels use the hubs and get some supermoto rims laced to them i was gonna do this but then i bought A YZ426 SUPERMOTO ITS MENTAL but still considering this mod for my dt think it would look the nutts with some acerbis trick bits aswell

Just got a 2000 dt125r,got a dep rear pipe and a fresco front, also changed the sprocket to give it a bit more top end(It was dying in top) Looked at the powervalve but not sure what to do. I heard that 99 models onwards are built to go slower, not just restricted. Is this true? Is it worth getting race reeds? Dont wanna bore it out as I reckon it'l constantly break down.

Oi,Oi lads my names nick and ive had my DTR125 for about 6months and ive found that if u change the SPROCKETS u must take into concideration that if u get smaller front and bigger back sprockets u will get better acceleration but WORSE top end!i.e.get bigger front and smaller back sprockets u will get less accel but a beast of a top end! some engineers might say "it wont or might not pull the bike" but just tell where to shuv it!! coz DTR's already have mint acceleration compared to ordinary 125 bikes! and all u need to do to get that acceleration back to normal wile keepin the beast of a top end that constantley goes off the clock.....is take off the front of the exhaust and open the valve (so that u can see a BIG hole) then if u want even more acceleration than before add a K&N air filter, reason bein more air intake equals more fule intake.(but i do advise to change only 2 teeth on each sprocket at a time, otherwise u might do it to much and fcuk the bike!!) new sprockets and chane only cost about £40-£50!but makes a MASIVE CHANGE!!!!!!so hope yu all have fun houkin ya bike over a tun!! mines got a full DEP exhaust and is gettin a new top end big bore kit 172cc (back in the shop now)c ya all later nick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I recently bought a 93 DT 125R as a non runner. i have now cleaned the carb out, had a new spark plug, neg coil, new HT lead and swapped the CDI over from my old 89 TRZ. the DT has got a good spark at the plug but still wont run properly, struggles to start and once started it wont rev properly and if you let the revs die it will just cut out. however one minute it runs properly and the next minute it goes into this stage. cant think of anything else to do. Any help will be much aprechiated. my e-mail is [Log in to view email] if anyone has any ideas. Thanx
