The Dt125r is a spectactular motorcycle. It handles well, is reliable and goes pretty quick. My one has had the powervalve tweeked and beats KMXS, NSRS, XLRS, DRS, TSRS, TZRS, and all 125 cruiser crap. I race it against other bikes. I am saving up for adepp exhaust and then carbon reeds.

Hi everyone,
In response to Rods posting on the 27th March about fitting the DEP pipe, but still no more power, I had the same problem with my 02 model.
The solution is to remove the front pipe and look up the exhaust port to see the position of the POWER VALVE,
it should be flush with the top of the port once you have switched the ignition on and the servo has set its self. My POWER VALVE was not fully open, and I knew this was wrong because I compared it with my mates DT.
To fix this you have to remove the cover on the side of the barrel where the servo cables attach, once done remove the bolt holding the plastic 'pulley' and carefully prise it off N.B slacken the cable adjusters right off first.
You will find that it attachs to a sort of diamond shaped peg on the end of the valve.
Now with a mate looking up the exhaust port, turn the 'peg' with some pliers until the valve is flush with the top of the port and then reattach the pulley and readjust the cables back to there orignal position, replace the pulley nut and then the side cover and once the exhaust is refitted give it a go up the road.
You should notice a hell of difference, and hopefully won't be able to stop grinning.
As mine is a parallel import, I am wondering if they are positioned differently from the factory compared to proper UK DTs.
Anyway hope this may be of some help!
