Just bought my first Prairie, an anniversay II 1.8 1987. Cracking value for £200. Nissan UK OE service parts prices are on the whole very reasonable, I think, as the Prairie shares many components with the Bluebird and Stanza. Indeed, I refer to the Stanza Haynes manual (No.824) for tech/spec. Second-hand mail-order parts from TXD-Manchester 0161 231 8269 or Jap Auto Parts-B`ham 0121 772 3205. Oh, and by the way, odometer reads 252,000 miles ! :-)
huge carrying capacity - ideal DJ car love the sliding doors without pillar - almost unique I think, and gives great access for disabled. Parts are tricky, but there is a Japanese car secondhand parts dealer in Manchester!

i paid £55 pounds for a nissan prairie and it failed the mot on wiper blades a cv gator and a tyre max of £30 pounds.

I bought a second-hand prairie Ereg for £150. Perhaps the best money I've spent as I was moving house and the Prairie done the job !!!! However - finding it difficult to get second-hand spares in kent. Can anyone help???

Performance not earth shattering because they should have opted for 2 litre status,but if its sheer reliability and the ability to bring all of those bulky items home with you then this is the car,forget the later models they simply do not have the room inside them that this does,much sought after by those in the know,they dont often come up for sale but when they do they are snapped up quickly.A good solid vehicle,one tip as always if you buy one with unknown history fit a new timing belt straight away for peace of mind.
