I have sailed this yacht from IOW to Clyde, shorthanded, and at my leisure, it is very safe and has no nasty points, certainly old fashioned, but now we call that traditional! Performance is pretty good.

The Comfort 30 designed by Kenneth Albinsson is based on the one ton cup winner "Joker", she is traditional masthead sloop, non extreme hull design of mid 70's and compares favourably with the Scampi and Carte_30 on performance.The Comfort 30 was built to order, Robertson of Sandbank produced about a dozen. More were built in Sweden. The lead keel provides stiffness and the hull design performance. All in all a boat that provides safe sailing for the family, and performance for the short handed sailor offshore. Well handicapped for the ARC etc. Price varies with condition £18000 - £23000 One or two are sold in the UK every year. The Albin Vega is better known and was built at same time: similar but of lighter construction, and smaller, they were built as production boats and are numerous priced £15-23K. six or more are usually on the market at any one time.
