Traded in my BMW 530D for the top of the range SE-L spec Lexus RX300. There are all the toys (too many to list) but the best one was the rear facing camera which displayed onto the sat-nav screen whenever you put the car in reverse !! great for parking or hitching up..why other manufactures don't do this is beyond me. Overall this is a great car for driving slowly but very comfortably..like the other reviewer mentioned this is an SUV and I would not take mine off road (prob scared it would break..with Lexus build quality I doubt it). The down side and reason for me changing was mpg..with average driving my best was 22-24mpg. If you or your company can afford to fill it up this is a great car for those who enjoy their comforts while on the move. dcf
Build quality. Everything incl with SE-L spec

Reviewing a 2006 model.
Lexus RX300 SE-L
Owned for 1 month.
This is a luxury 4x4 and I bought it in Jan 2001. Used as a Tow car for my caravan and low mileage daily use. Done 5000 miles so far and not a single thing has gone wrong. Being an SUV rather than a more traditional forby such as the Range Rover it isnt as versatile, ie I would be reluctant to rough it on mountain tracks. I like the better view by being a bit higher than a standard car and most important to me its a good tow car.
This is my second Lexus, my first was a the LS400 which I had for 4 years. An excellent trouble free car.
Owned for 6 months.

We traded a brand new (8 month old) Laguna for the RX300. It is an exceptional vehicle. Unlike its European counterparts it is not overly complex in terms of everything being electrically driven or computer controlled. It handles well, has good passenger comfort levels and is economical.
Owned for 3 months.
