I have a 2.2 diesel midi mini bus just to cart the kids and my mum and my other half about in, we bought it 7 months ago (today is 29/09/04) and we just got it on the road... partner is slack it only needed tyres and a washer pump....... We really need a manual for it but it seems that they are like rocking horse poo....;) It drives wonderfully....:) Im a clasic car driver the rest of the time a Hillman Minx 1959 is my only other vehical, so driving this is like passing a hot knife through butter... tee hee. It has an oil leak somewhere but I think that that is on the transmission side so we need to find the filler point for that unless it works from the engine... we really dont know. It also squeels like the fan belt is loose... hum I think it might be but it seems to charge ok...????? well now the connections are ok anyway it was showing a red light on the battery when we bought it but fiddling with it has stopped that. We payed £150.00 on ebay for it, I think that was cheap, well it was as not much seems to be wrong , just a few silly bits really the squeel being the most annoying. Mind you it does stop when its warmed up. So OK Im not the most savvy on diesel engines... give me an inline 4 petrol with no computers attached and Im fine....but diesels um no... well not yet. So what I need is either a manual OR someones brain to pick as and when I need assistance... like now. OK thats it for now It goes well tho Ill give it that... and it stops well too Im used to 1959 drum brakes all round not disks on the front....lol I STOP WOW.
I had a midi overseas. It was an excellent vehicle and its Izuzu 2.2 deisel is renowned in Asia as on of the best engines ever made.It is a favoured engine for taxis due to its long life of 1 million+ miles, and is used to replace worn out inferior Ford, and Toyota engines.Parts are dirt cheap in Asia.It is the UK dealers who rip us off here.Look for manuals for Izuzu cars. Does anyone have the official dimensions for the Midi? Length, width, hight?
Parts are imposible to get and more exspensive than the van i have the 2.4 TD i love the van but hate the running costs if any one has any spares (Turbo) please Email me

This is NOT a Bedford, it's an Isuzu. The old Bedford CF was FAR superior, but general Motors killed it off with a full order book. Scrap the thing & discover a proper long term reliable old van-----if you can find a CF that isn't rusted out, after a minimum of 16 years!!!
