1970 Marcos Coupe, fitted with a 2l Ford pinto. Although now 30 years old the car is a dream. Parts are still relatively easy to get hold of and generally if you are not uo to servicing yourself can be undertaken by a competent garage. Head Turning score has top be 10 out of 10, it has stood the changes over the last 30 years, and still does not look out of place against 'modern' cars.
Driving position is comfortable and the view over the power bulge of the bonnet is something to be believed. Handling is excellent for a rear wheel drive sports car, with light weight body, but be careful its bite can be vicous in the wet if you are to heavy on the throttle. I have now covered some 200,000 miles plus in a Marcos, its probably more than this bu the speedo hasn't worked properly for 'some time' now!
