I am driving my second 2 liters automatic SQ5. The first one I bought brand new in 2000, drove it for 75000Km and traded in for a 0km 2003 model. All I had to do is change engine oil and filters as recomended by manufacturer. This Nissan Maxima vehicle manufactered in Korea by Samsung (now part of the french Renault holding) has the comfort, quality at reliability of its japanese ancestor at an affordable price.
The engine has extremely high torque eventhough it lacks power below 3000 rpm. But on the highway the SQ5 2.0 will cruise at 120Km/H at 2700rpm. At 2000rpm you go at 90 km/H. This engine has a promising longevity.
The flaw? The car has no nerve to sprint. When you want to jump ahead fast you cant. It is like trying the get a gallop from a grazing cow. Renault Samsung should fix the automatic transmission shifting schedule. Then again if you want to get the most mileage out of the superb Hankook tires then you will be pleased.

Performs great. It's very much underated. But more parts should be made available by the manufacturer. This will give prospective buyers much more confidence in purchasing this fine automobile. The car has outstanding appearance, performance, and reliability, so I suggest that "Samsung Motors" redouble their efforts in production and spare-parts!
