I had a '77 5spd 1800 for four years - this is a very long time for me ! What can I say, a fabulous car, extremely charismatic, beautiful exhaust note and very reliable. I sold it to by a newer flasher vehicle but that was a bad mistake - nothing can replace a good 132.(especially a v6 ALFA) I missed it greatly and was lucky to find an '81 132 2000 at a deceased estate auction -

As with earlier 132, fitted a twin port exhaust manifold and down pipe to get the glorious Fiat exhaust note back. Just returned from 1,500Km camping ramble with 3 adults and gear.
Have a skyline GTS as well, but if I had to choose - it would be the FIAT that I would keep.

I have a brown 132 GLS 1975 1800. Its called the Poo, and is our fammilies favorite. The most reliable car I have ever owned. This year alone it has driven from Melbourne to Adelaide and back as well as to Sydney and back. With no problems. Very fuel efficient. All in all the Poo rocks.

I bought one new in 1974 (the original model 1600cc) but found it too soft in the suspension compared to my Alfa Guilia Super. Despite this it performed very well and was quite fast and economical to own.
I have just bought a 1975 1600GL with 71.000km to teach my daughter to drive in. This has the improved suspension and steering and is far better to drive than how I remember the earlier model.
I am very pleased with this as a second car and hope my daughter doesn't take it over!

I used to own a 1979 132 with two litre petrol engine. It was a supra car to own as it handled well, stable, comfortable and solid in construction.

I traded it for a brand new Regata 85S in 1985 owning to body rusting. developed

I've got three of them! I've owned three others in the past - so I guess I like them.

None of them have ever let me down (yet!).

They are a real wolf in sheep's clothing and so easy to tune.

Better stop now, otherwise everyone will want one!

I have a 1981. Fiat 132 2500diesel.
it has more than 500.000 km on its wheels and it's still running. Worst part of it is poor quality of doorpanels which are falling apart, and the best are long running, reliable engine, and comfortable drive

I owned a 132 2000 in 1991-1992.
It was fast comfortable and reliable.
Fuel consumption was reasonable for the size of the car.
The only minus points were the handling in slippery conditions (oversteer), and of course the dreaded tin worm.

My Dad had a brown 132 2000 between 1989 and 1990
He loved that car, but it was too expensive. After the Fiat we have a never-ending Opel-epoque. But we all still think, that the 132 was a very beautiful car with much power (112 HP, 1100kg weight).
If somebody of you have a Fiat 132 or see one witch has the following chassis number, please message me: [Log in to view email]
It's very important for me

I had a metallic blue 132 2000 GLS on the 'T' plate back in 1986. A magnificient car. Stylish, fast and reliable. Rust was the only problem. I would travel the length and breadth of the UK to find another one.
I don't have an e-mail address, but I can be contacted on 07956 396 907, (Barry).

Our family owned a 132 GLS previous to a 131 supermirafiori but the 132 was an amazing car, comfy powerful & stylish in its day, I cried like a baby when my dad replaced it (late 70's I think)

My parents owned a orange 132 GLS 1600 from 1979 till 1981. my father still has nightmares from the amount of rust on this car :-)

I searched for a good 132 that survived the bad Dutch weather conditions for more than two years and finally found the car I bought two months ago; a blue metallic '75 1600 GLS. Me and my girlfiend just drive it during the weekends and really love it.

I have a 132 GLS 1975 1800 version. It's a cool car in many ways particularly because it looks good - original silver paint is a little tired though. Not surprisingly, the main drawbacks are rust which is minor but endemic and the steering which is inordinantly heavy. I wonder if the steering is meant to be this heavy? I'd be eager to here from others on this.
Otherwise, the car is ggod to drive. True the suspension is a little soft but generally 'tis ggod to cruise in. I drive it everyday in Canberra and it always starts and has given me no trouble in the year that I've had it.
