I have had mine for 2 years now,it is a 2.5 turbo intercooler swb and it is a brilliant jeep.people say they are very thirsty but i can honestly say my one returns nearly 30 mpg urban,still looks great for a jeep thats 18 years old,cheap parts(except tyres lol)cheap to insure and sails m.o.ts,what more can you ask for?tows like a train and fun to drive.
We love our 2.8 pajero,lwb 7 seat. owned it for 6 months, parts easy to find,never let us down, very responsive and fun to drive, plenty room to tuck the kids at the back,just wish it did more mpg.
Pajero (Shogun) after 30 months and 60,000 miles we part company. You performed well although a little noisey, I never understood why that plastic clip on the drivers seat stuck in my back all the time (the garage said they all did and tried superglue in vain). You pulled away from almost anything at lights, if worked hard and that diesel engine and tiptronic gearbox was a good combination. The back seat never folded right forward, but this is small stuff. You worked well and I am grateful. But I think maybe the world has moved on and it needs a quieter, sleeker look for the 21st Century.
I purchased my Pajero 2.5td intercooler swb, about 2 weeks ago, and am immpressed with it overall performance, its only done 63K miles. and is in immac condition. and i love it, its a great car, i have previously had a Isuzu Trooper 3.1, and it compares well considering its a smaller engine. but its doing 20 Mpg, even on long Journeys.
Top notch condition, low mileage, simply the best value for money 4x4 available! Mine is a 2.8LWB 1995 model Exeed - fully loaded - and cost only 9grand two years ago. Can't fault it - except its rather pricey if you have to replace all the tyre at once (?350) but then what do you expect! Its surprisingly nippy in Power Mode and economy seems fair for what the car is (25-28mpg approx). Best of all - it tows like a train! Wonderfully stable with a big van at up to 80mph (on French motorways of course!). If you want/need a 4x4 don't waste 35 grand buying new and loosing all that depreciation - just get an imported Pajero! You won't be dissappointed.
BOUGHT MINE, A SUPER EXCEED WITH FULL LEATHER FRO THE PRICE OTHERS WERE ASKING LOWER MODELS. THIS CAR IS SUPERB AND FULLY SERVICED. BEST VALUE FOR MONEY AROUND SEE THEIR SITE.
we own a 2.8t/diesel paj,superb fun a must have vehicle for all round performance,the kids love it they can sit in a seperate set of seats to stop annoying brother/sister situations,comfy as an arm chair ,never feel fatigued even on a 6 hour journey and a dream to tow anything up to 3.5 tonne(slightly thirsty but what do you expect from a car thats nearly 2 tonne in weight)
