Well I've owned my Minor for 3 years, and it's been a whole lot of fun. Even a trip to the shops makes a smile spring to my face. The performance (from the ancient 1100 engine) is brisk, and she can keep up with the lorries on the M5. The seats are super-comfortable, and with a few subtle mods (halogen lights and the like) she's been great for every day use.
Parts are cheap to get, and usually easy to fit. If any welding needs doing, the panels are available, and there's a thriving owners' club to help with advice!
She was bought for £3k, and I reckon she's still worth that. For anyone wanting an entry into the Classic Scene, this is it, but be warned - a Moggy is for life! lol
The Morris Minor is in my view probably one of the most simple to maintain, cheap to run and charasmatic little classic cars available. To buy a good example you don't need to spend fortunes, you won't ever have problems sourcing spare parts as there are numerous specialists who can supply literally everything. In short, the Minor is both practical and easy to drive, but above all it is a fun car that oozes charm and character. If I sound biased, it,s because I am, I own three of them. I have a 2 door saloon, a Traveller and a split screen saloon.
