got two of them, the first one which is in fairly poor condition is still great fun through corners (chicanes), but with the original 1.3L engine you'll be lucky to keep up with a yamaha jog in a straight line.
the other one is in top condition, with a donated 1.6L twin cam engine. this thing flies, so it's good to finally have the performance to match the looks.
windy roads can be frustrating, because you invariably catch up to a Nimbus or a V8 people mover which just can't corner like you.
I picked up a pre-restored blue 1300 series 1 x1/9 for $2000, Popped a new clutch, windscreen in and off I went. Ive gradually upgraded the suspension with new shocks and lower springs, some nice Yokohama tyres and removed the bumpers. I love this car, fantastic. So smooth, quick, fantastic ride quality, no thumps or bumps, light high revving smooth engine. Cant go wrong. My brother also bought one and is in the process of restoring it to its former glory.
Mid engined coupe with targa top, great handling although unfortunately without the power to fully exploit it.

My car is a 1979, have owned since new and will never sell. Have had nothing but fun and pleasure for 150,000 miles and this car has saved my life on a few occasions with it's great handling. Upgrated it's carburetor, added a header and mag wheels .... very cool car
