i got this car from more than 2 years now we got 2 FSO polonez in the family one for me one for my bro both are 1989 , the car problem is it gives you inspiration to tune it and so on you fall in love with it, (ISA"if god wills") i'll not change it if i gonna buy new car i 'll keep it with me really i love it

I have this car, parts are very cheap or even sometimes free ( on the junkyards ) It goes rusty very fast ( especialy in polish climate ) I wouldn`t say it is economical , but i have installed LPGas instalation so it`s a lot cheaper now. It has quite loud engine but it can be easyly fixet with some home made ideas. I also like this car becouse it`s my native production. I have my Polonez nearly 2 years. His from 1992 but he`s in very good condition. I just love this car! Now in Poland one man put in to Polonez engine from Ford 2,9 V6 with N2O it`s realy cool, but I will changing my 1.6 to 2.0 from FIAT 132. Greetings for all! P.S. Daewoo-FSO stoped production of Polonez :( Now factory need new investor

i love this car, it is beautiful, big cheap in buying, and repairs. It will be fast (i want to change from my old 1.5 to 1.8 from fait 132, and bay some new things). My car is from 1993 and a pay for it last year 1000$ now it is worth 500$ - the price is going down very fast.
I got mine when it was 6 months old. Did 30,000 miles in it, mostly trouble free, only couple bits of broken trim. I found it very roomy, comfortable and hardy-when the cambelt broke the garage just put a new one on and off it went again, all for £14! Sorry to see it go.

I guess the polonez is one of the cheapest cars of the world and the best i have one and is one of the best
value for money workhorse with a very lousy diff and rubbish tyres. Once the whole rear axle had been replaced with Borg Warner, the vehicle proved to be an excellent and reliable hard worker even if a little slow. Fuel consumptionis very acceptable even with moderately heavy loads, The ratio between 1st and 2nd gear is a bit of a bugger up especially noticable on hills with a load on board, Ride can be harsh but handling is very good. My FSO truck has now completed 160000kms and if they were still available here in south africa I would buy another for my business, but alas they are not.

I have second polonez. My first polonez 1990 it very good car. He give 140000 km and is in very good condition. My second polonez caro 1995 is super car. He is fast and is economing. I love this cars. Polonez and price = very good car in small cash. :)
Mother had one for 7 years of abusive motoring. Needed starter motor, exhaust 2two tyres and a single rocker arm in all that time. Rust in wings were a problem. but what do you expect for £800 paid 7 years ago. Went on to be a stock car - still going I believe.
