The Contender is very much a class for the experienced and athletic sailor.

Designed by Bob Miller in 1962 the Contender is a single handed dinghy with trapeze, hugely exciting the boat will provide a massive adrenalin rush and much swimming practice, although once mastered the satisfaction is immense and the performance thrilling.

Because the boat was designed some years ago 2nd hand Contenders are available at low cost, do not expect a World Championship winning boat, but buy a cheap one first, learn to sail it and then get a good quality boat, you will enjoy.
