This has to be one of the most recognisable cars in the world. I have the 3.4 litre version.
This car has been said to have a top speed of 125mph but I would never take it there as it is a classic which I now only tend to drive in the summer, not to say that it couldn't handle other weather conditions it could but it is a truly great classic.
O-60 takes just 8.5 seconds but this car does have the tendency to roll. My Jag was made after 1965 which means that it has an all-synchro gearbox , allowing for a less laborious gear change.

I have owned a Mk2 jag 1960 (3.4 litre) since 1975. Currently I drive to work a BMW 528i. In my view those 2 are the best sports sedans ever made. I love the jag, is powerful, elegant and the roar of the xk engine is beyond belief.

The Mk2 Jaguar 3.4 litre ( I own a 1960 model) in my mind is one of the best 4 door sports sedans ever built. Its performance was in the early 1960's unmatched. It offered independent suspension, discs brakes, anti-roll bar and a powerplant that produces a sound that you only hear in cinematic car chases. It is heavy and gives you a smooth ride, however it understeers. Using bigger tires (200-205 H or V rated) helps a lot. This car would not disappoint you, it is a lot of fun!!!
