I just bought a 1984 honda goldwing inerstate for $1200.00 and it's loaded. It has 96000 miles and I have not drove it yet but I can't wait till next sping. When I first looked at the bike I saw the miles and was not sure if I wanted a bike with all them miles but when I sat on the bike I fell In love. If you look at the bike you would not know it had all them miles.I have allways wanted a goldwing and I know come next sping Im going to have fun!
My GoldWing Interstate is a trusted friend that has never let me down. My wife and I spend alot of time seeing the countryside while relaxing on her comfortable saddle. I have had many bikes but none can compare to her. My wife also rides this great bike and now we are looking for another one just for her... then we can ride side by side..!
I recently purchased an old '84 goldwing with 85,000 miles. It shows it's age somewhat but most people think it is new. It is my first 'big' bike and I like it because my wife will ride with me. Her seat is as comfortable as the driver's. What did they cost new? Thanks, Larry Reinhart in Florida [Log in to view email]
I've got an '84 Interstate that's had 4 stators in a year. Other than that, I love it, but I'm not sure I can continue worrying about having a dead battery in the middle of the Sonoran desert. LWW
I owned this bike many years ago now. If I remember correctly I think I had an aspencade or something like that. The bike had everything and really did run great, but as soon as the paint started to fade I traded it in.

I bought my 84 wing last Christmas, and have enjoyed 10,000km this pasted season. I have a question, do they make a rear speaker kit for the interstate.
I purchased my 1984 Aspencade for $3,400 (U.S.) in 2000. It had 24,000 original miles on it - now has 49,000 and I use it aboout 11.5 months out of the year for transportation to and from work (11 miles each way). Very dependable and this model was my dream bike for years and years.
Owned for 2 years.

Obtained at 6,000 miles in 1989 from a friend, the bike now has 40,000 miles on it -- with the only problem being a failed turn signal cancel module -- removed this week (I need one -- but they're $115+ US -- and can live without it for that price).
It's had minimal maintenance and is on the third set of front brakes and the second set of rear brakes.
I've never put on additional lights -- fearing the dreaded alternator failure mode -- but each year the thing runs exactly as the year before -- nearly perfect.
What a nice bike!
If I had known 13 years ago that I'd still be riding it today, I'd have sprung for the $1200 it then cost for the radio set-up!
I added speakers this past weekend -- and am searching for a radio that will fit into that short slot.
After 180,000 miles and 2 stators (the last going over 95,000) I couldn't be more satisfied. No other repairs needed and initial cost of $3800 new. Nothing on the current market to compare.
Owned for more than 5 years.
