My dad bought this car for me almost a year ago now for a mear £100, she was in a terrible state as she'd been left standing for god knows how many years. We've practically replaced and repaired everything on her, and she earned her name "christine" during all her repairs, as my dad claims she almost killed him! (My dad currently also has another neon (malcolm) and a cooper, so it hasn't put him off!)
I couldn't be happier with my neon, wouldn't dream of getting rid of her she's like my best friend! i even passed my test in her, and i'm glad to see some other neon lovers!
i have a mini neon and it is a great car, only a 998cc but it is still very nippy! i brought it for a fantastic £600 and just had a full respray and rust sorted. overall it is a great car, very stunning and with the grey/blue paint a good head turner! and for anyone who doesnt know only 1500 mini neons were made!
I'm absolutely in love with my Neon. I've had him 2 years and in all the time he's never let me down. Forever faithful, he sits outside in all weathers, waiting for me to give him his next runabout. All I can say is RUST!
my beast, as it has been nicknamed, is my first car and i love it!definately agree with everyone about the rust though!i brought mine about 2 years ago from brighton. I'm now thinking of having a full body respray to all black but can't seem to get a resonable quote!seeing as im a student i would appreciate it if anyone could recommend anywhere in the south-east area!!!?!!!thanks.

I have my little Neon AKA Jayne over two years now. She has never filed me yet. Since I got here I did get a new clutch, but its the first one in almost 13 years, so I cannot really mind. The only real problem is with the dreaded rust, I have treated it and repainted it, but it is starting to appear again! The body was not too bad until some Wally hsa dented the wing at uni.
I don't think I could part with her now, she is my first car. I almost bought another mini about a year back, but I could not bring mysefl to get rid of my old friend.
Long live the Mini, but not the MINI, may that die a very quick death, down with BMW!

I have just brought a Rover mini neon, about 3 weeks before christmas its a real little beauty. It has widened wheel arches the biggest you can find. alloy wheels and has been painted Ferrari red! this weekend end my brother and i fitted two white stripes along the bonnet and it looks great. The only thing that i dislike about my 1991 mini is the acceleration and fuel consumption if anyone has any ideas how to improve on either of these without greatly changing my insurence as i am only 18 please email me your ideas. We just got a mini neon, only 17.000 on the clock. It's only been driven by two elderly sisters in that time, yes, really, to the shop and back. What a bargain at £500. Bad news - plenty of body rust from the sea wind, Good news - car is gaffer-tape grey! Plenty cool parts out there, now 'Rusty' is a useable pet-project and member of the family.
