Yes, She´s very good for day trips and eventualy stay overnight.
She's fast and she's light... the Vaurien thing says it all.
Excellent in lake waters (and shallows) as draft can be reduced up to 0,2m.
As for maintenance, the "samll boat, small problems" thing really suits here.

I take my SF20 solo on day trips.
Self tacking jib a bit short when going upwind with light air but still i'd rate it as overall good performance. Excellent with the assymetric spi.
Center board control at your fingertips. Responsive as my first Vaurien. A friend for life if your sailing programs match.
