Good day The Eventide I have was built to Morris's plans in NZ. she has had the rudder moved to the filled in stern and put on a skeg. She has had HER SIDE KEELS EXTENDED TO GIVE HER A 4 FOOT DRAUGHT and each has a 50 litre fuel tank in it.This was done to improve her up wind performance and to make her more suitable for blue water work in the south pacific. I recomend this to any serious off shore adventurer. Her bow sprit has been removed to ease the single handed aspect of her use and she has had an Rc16D engine fitted. This gives her an effective range of 1000 miles under power. A great vessel of stout heart and kind nature even in the worst of our conditions. With the standard keels she would open up several more thousands of miles of coastline to the coastal [Log in to view email]

Sygurd Syr, my Eventide had her keel laid in 1962 and was completed in 1974! Boat yard built in double diagonal teak on oak frames, she is tough and well built. Engine is a bombproof Kubota 3 cyl diesel of about 15 hp. Roomy and cosy she is ideally suited to the East Coast of UK. Future improvemewnts will be a wind generator and a solid fuel stove to extend the season. Lovely boat.
