Have owned and sailed Naiad No 170 for 2 seasons now from Torbay. She continually outsails larger boats, and has inspired confidence even in F6/7 winds. she is tender though and reefing early helps, as does 180lb of lead ballast in the bilge around the keel. I sail mostly solo, so the extra weight is needed. I purchased new sails this year, including a 100% blade headsail, which makes the windward performance even better, and is a good all round sail for up to F5.

Very competitive in light airs, easy to
depower, still looks and feels up to
date. I've had No 94 'Scorrie' for
12years.
Whenever I've been tempted to trade up,
decide its ease of maintenance,
excellent sailing qualities hard to
better.....I'm still in love with it
