Hi. I've recently bought a Viceroy 2500 & i love it, it sounds great!! The insurance was only £20 more than my Escort 1.4i. I last owned 1 about 14 years ago.

HI guys, if you struggle to find parts for your vauxhall viceroy, try GMH Holdens in Australia. the car is called a Holden Commodore here in Australia and came with 5litre V8 engine, Very gutsy car indeed there was over 1 million of them made in about 6 years, partd are numerous in style and wrecking yards are full of them

"A Vauxhall what?" Is the usual reply. "A Viceroy" I say. "Whats one of them". "A carlton and Royale chucked in a blender".
What a car! I have had mine for just over a year. OK so most of that has been spent restoring it. But every chance I get to run it I do. L
ooking slightly like an oversized Carlton with a 2.5l straight six under the bonnet. It tends to be able to pick up its skirts and run ever so fast. Mine is only the 4 speed manual but apparently overdrive makes one hell of a difference.
Built between 1979 and 1981 its production life was short. It was deemed un-necessary and was consequently axed. Unfortunately they suffer from the same problem as allvauxhalls of that age, tin worm.
Now only between one and two hundred left on the face of the planet, and only a small fraction of those are drivable. Came with a variety of options from full electric pack, fuel injection, leather seats, and three speed auto all the way to the standard vehicle like mine. Also known as the Opel Commodore these cars are few and far between. Parts can be used from the royale and senator for the front. The rear however.....Commodore or Viceroy parts only.
Rather than going technical here. I can send you a full fact sheet, just e-mail me on [Log in to view email]
My last point if you own one of these.

Good Ideas.
Join the autobahnstormers. They can help with parts, tech problems etc.

Visit the Opel Experience in Staines if you want parts or complete cars of any vauxhall of this era.

Bad Ideas:
Get an exhaust from kwik fit. They kept my car for a month because all the ones they ordered didnt fit. The patterned parts were wrong so they had to reshape it.

My advice. Find one and buy one. These cars are great.
