Purchased new via parallel import 2.7TD. Warranty good and it needs to be.. first 6 months sticking drivers window, clutch slipping. replaced clutch greased window (charged for grease!). rear door leaks, seal replaced. front door leaks, seal replaced. rear door leaks seal replaced. Car flooded with water in storm. Dash removed and main bulkhead re sealed. Clutch slipping, clutch replaced. rear door leaking seal replaced. (18,000 miles reached). Tyres lasted 25,000. After having now for 40,000 miles things have settled down. The only fault since warranty ended was a seized brake caliper. Also be VERY careful of the oil in the Diffs. IT HAS TO BE the special oil from Nissan. Mine was serviced by a local garage and they used the oil recommended by the normal parts CD they use for all their cars and they had three Terranos return with noise from the diffs. Instant cure when the Nissan oil was used.
Expect 28MPG for normal driving, 30 MPG is possible with exteme care.
I fixed the rear door leak myself in the end by using silicone on the inner seal and cutting two big holes in the bottom of the outer seal so any water getting in had a way out!
