I have owned my Meriva 1.8 for 3 and half years and done 40k - been thru France and Spain numerous times and not a problem. My kids call it the tardis, cos its small on the outside and big inside - it looks deceiving and feels bigger to drive. Have changed the gearbox linkage - less than £200 to do.

have had 03 mireva for over a year very reliable, comfortable drive loads of space easy parking, recently had problems with ecu unit, needed replacing, had to wait for 4 weeks for part to be imported, good service from qnetwork car loaned free of charge until part arrived. very expensive part to replace, over £600 with labour. back on the road again now looking forward to problem free driving, this blip has not put me off the car.
easy to drive, plenty of space
visability on front side panels by windscreens slightly impaired, once you know about it easy to adjust your viewing position. not enough problem to put me off the car. you should take care when looking anyway.
