I've had my Surf for 2 years now and towed a big caravan down to Southern Spain. I have used it regularily here for the same time and as we live at 500 metres up a mountain the 4 wheel drive gets used a lot expecially in the rainy season. It has got 106 km on the clock and have only done routine maintenance on it, brake pads, oil and filter, all the belts renewed . I find it comfortable to drive although not fast on the getaway buy hey, I have all the time in the world. Generally to sum up a bloody good work horse.
reliable, good vision, smooth auto box
no cruise control, having to open spare wheel to axcess the tail gate, diesel fuel economy could be better.
I've had mine about 3 months now and I just love it. It's not outstanding in any department, but it just does what it says on the tin. A very competent machine and very nice to drive.
