I use the big 50cc scooter to commute 25 km each way along flat roads. Its a hoot and great fun passing the traffic jams.
Really best suited to shorter trips less than 10km for most people. Have a topbox and it holds a heap of shopping or gear.
Use very good engine oils and I believe it will last for ever. I have done about 7000km in the last year with the only bill being tires.
Brakes show no sigh of wear on the little drum and it just goes flat out everywhere. Throttle cable has stretched a couple of times needing adjustment but that is due to it being flat out everywhere.
Wife is starting to use the Zuma for local trips.
Pre 98 model Zumas have governor in the CDI. Disconnect the red wire to the left of the oil tank under the seat and it will rev a bit faster and use less fuel. Early models only.
Bigger size than other 50cc scooters, not so squeezy. Big tyres carry bigger loads well. Handles brilliantly for a scooter.
50km/hr means you need to pick your roads carefully stay where the pushbikes share the road.
