Can Jennygirl let me have the file for the graphics so as I can have some more made. I bought the caravan from a friend and it is in A1 condition, no damp, leaks etc. It is just like new except that the stickers need replacing.
We have a 88 model, serial number SW088 *****, but you can ring swift and they are dead helpful. The appearance of the Corniche at this age is unusual as this was the first model to have an intergrated gas bottle storage box incorperated into the main body of the caravan. It still has the same window and body layout of the earlier 80's 'vans. Stickers are probobly going to have faded to nothing and be quite tatty unless its been stored under cover most of its life. We had replacements made (e-mail me for file which graphics places can use). It also has a dimpled finish which i have found cleans best with a stiffish dish brush (be careful round the seals though and caravan paintwork is very thin). The interior is remarkably simmiler to Corniches up to 96-97, but watch out for the kitchen sink rusting. Carpets are usually in good condition, and upholstry sometimes (curtains fade, spring in blinds goes). Plastic veneers can begin to flake and plasic edging trims may have 'sagged' but can be removed and refixed. Delamination on ours occured in the central area by the door- and we had a leaking awning rail at the back (fixed). The main area where damp was worse was the rail above the windows which does not fit flush with the roof of the van, enableing the sealent to break down- Watch out for silicone- it doesn't work! The amenities on these 'vans are great, hot water, shower toilet and insulation is the styrofoam type and very effective. One thing to watch for is the pipes to the gas fire and water heater going rusty (check underneth the 'van). The 'van tows very well- we dont use a stabiliser and we get very little snaking- would recomend for first timers. Over all a great little van that i wouldn't be without.
