I got my atari 2600 in 1983 at the grand old age of 7. It came with a Pac-Man cartridge and for about 2 years I hardly left the house.
Its still here today, the unit has never broken and I play on it occasionally. Games like Frostbite are classics (Top score 420,000- can anyone top that?)and the cartridges are easy to find on sites like Preloved. The sound is brilliant considering the age of the console but a couple of the games have not stood the test of time; combat, yars revenge and pong.
