I bought a 95 Vitesse Turbo mainly for towing my race car around the country and it did it very well, loads of punch and the brakes are'nt too bad either. When it was'nt towing it was a quick car which I made quicker by having it chipped to 260BHP (was 190 standard) and once lowered it handled better as well. Never let me down but did have a new Turbo at 125,000miles. It's now in my Dads ownership and has covered 150,000 miles with still no problems.
"N" 825SLD 217,000 MILES,CLUTCH AT 210,000.TOTALLY RELIABLE.GOOD QUALITY OIL USED(SEMI)NO MAJOR PROBLEMS APART FROM ROVER'S USUAL "PART ON BACK ORDER"(WHEN?SOMETIME OR NEVER?)ROVER DEALERS ALMOST ADEQUATE BUT EXPENSIVE.THESE CARS HAVE A FEW MINOR NIGGLES BUT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE WITH THE SAME INTERIOR ROOM AND COMFORT.REGULAR SERVICING AND A FEW MINOR MODS FROM STANDARD MAKE THIS AN EXCELLENT VEHICLE.BA SUCKS TO YOU LOW MILEAGE TYPES!GET A GOOD MECHANIC OR SMALL GARAGE TO MAINTAIN IT.

825 turbo diesel 94M 110 thou miles ,bought as a family car and to tow my caravan ,50 mph flat out towing van ,died on hills overheating only when towing all time ,brake fade whilst towing,sloppy gear change,electrics are a total nightmare,sunroof sticks open windows seemed on a delay timer one min work next they dont, oil leaks , barge like driving air con unit collapsed shedding alloy bits everywhere and on one occasion rac towed home as all electric relay cought fire under bonnet fitted a new unit and all wirring took ages very fiddly,abs brakes played up on rear ,fuel filler catch broke so flap always swaying open and shut when driving powersteering pipe under the sump bursted on m way like driving a tank all on a car with 110 thou genuine miles though it alwasy started and did roughly 100 miles of £10 diesel

825 Sterling on a 2001 plate bought with 11000 miles on clock.
now 18000 miles on clock and circa £1500 quid on repairs - head gaskets blown, total electrical failure, need I go on?
The car is very well appointed with equipment but drives like a canal barge and is basicallty a great pile of sh*t
Avoid at all costs.
