I have always had Epson printers and have never had a bad experience with any of them.

My latest printer, the C42 is enough for anyone and compatable ink cartridges means I can replace the colour cartridge for as little as £2 and the Black cartridge for around £1.40, so cheap to run and compatable cartridges are just as good as the genuine Epson units, except that they are around 1/10th the price and even do Photos without problems.

Provided you look after your Epson and do not abuse it and keep it clean and put a dust cover on it when it's not in use, it will give you years of reliable use.
