I't s a car I'll never have again (obviously- it's out of production) and although it swallowed vaste amounts of fuel and gave me severe headaches and I often dirtied my hans making it roadworthy (well it was 10 years old and I was 22 and heavy-footed) I would regret it eternally if I haven't bought it at a time. What convinced me to buy that big, boxy giant? Well, it was a sound of V6 which I'll never forget. And characteristical soft bounce that occured when throttle vas applied heavily a few times. Yummy! I didn't like the fact that when it started slipping over front wheels it was extremely difficult if not almost impossible to recover it since a large portion of front(weight) was hanging over front wheels. You could catch your behind with ease when it became naughy, but front.. Some of my friends also owned 30's and whenever any of us had an 'situation' it was always due to that unfortunate feature. Another thing were engine holders- they tend to break. I can't thank enough its manouverability, sturdyness, comfort, and (for my twisted taste) outstanding apperance. Slightly nasty from the front and totaly harmful from behind- that is until you decided to fully exercise the twin (or tripple solex) carburettor! When it fell apart I instantly bought R25 which was with its 2.2l engine much tamer but really reliable and it didn't corrode that much. Now a family man I drive Kia Carnival 2,9 CDI which is quite agile and jumpy for a 2 tone vehicle but- there will never be a car like R30 again...
