I bought this car from new in 2000 and can honestly say I love it. Brilliant for a run-a-round and good for longer journeys. I lived in the country, down some horrendous lanes which flooded in winter and the HRV sailed through it all, water, grit and mud were no problem. Tyres can be costly but what can you expect on a 4x4. Good steering lock to enable you to negotiate tights corners in the multi-storey car park. Comfy ride with a quiet engine. Road noise can be a bit of a problem on our concrete roads in the south west though.
