I bought Bridgette from her original owner back in '83, when I had decided that it was time to trade up from my Fiat to a Healey. I was looking for a 100-4 or a 3000, but when the C came along at a really good price, I couldn't resist. She's been a near-daily driver ever since (and my *daily* driver through those nasty boy-racer days on PCH in California.... How we survived I'll never know). I can't say enough about this little car. She's as dependable as a taxicab, can give a lot of modern cars a decent run for their money, and she now has over 300K miles on her. She can't corner like my GTV could, but the Alfa went to the junkyard in '84 and I'll probably be giving the keys to the C to my son when it's his time... in another 16 years. I'm sure that she'll *still* be a fine driver (assuming petrol and motor oil can still be had.)
