Reviewing a 1999 model.

I bought the bike, because it appeared to look good and was good value for money. I really wanted a 125cc four stroke but as this was supposed to be as quick but cheaper I took the plunge. After 2000km the performance had never bettered 50mph which is hardly better than a derestricted moped. Also the engine had begun to rattle noticeably. A few weeks after this I was riding home late one night when the engine seized at 45mph, which nearly threw me off the bike. The bike was taken to a dealer to be repaired, at a cost of £600, basically a new engine. And this was all caused by a faulty oil pump. The repair was carried out under warranty, but if it has happened two weeks later the warranty would have expired and I would have had to foot the bill. There were also other signs of shoddy build on the bike. Be very wary of buying one of these bikes the build quality is not in the same league as japanese or italian scooters, and parts for those are much easier to get hold of too. The money you save buying one of these will be needed in repair bills.
