You may disagree, but I think this is the BEST used executive car for under £3000, why?: Half-Leather Recaro interior, Electric Everything, Vast interior, 200bhp. £500. yes, £500 I paid for a 1995 M-reg with FULL Rover service history! In the metal for money stakes NOTHING beats this! Plus, you can embarrass many a boy-racer at the lights while still looking "respectable"in the company car-park!
Air-Con can be had on better models, all under £1000 on ebay! Plus, unlike the 220s etc these cars have rarely been "ragged" or modified, but as people break them for their engines (T16 turbo) they're getting rarer, just like the SD1s! Also, they don't rust like the 620ti's and have a stronger engine too!
Oh, negatives, there aren't many, but AVOID ANYTHING with a noisy gearbox, when they go it's expensive! & the early Honda engined cars, people think the Honda engine is a plus. It's not... great when new, but not after oil-sludge builds up in the cylinder head...
