I have a 2.5 sport but would recommend the 4.0 litre unless your doing massive amounts of miles around town and need the better fuel economy. Build quality and finish are excellent, in a totally different league to a Land Rover. Servicing is very expensive from Jeep, but once it's out of warranty you'll have no problem finding another garage to service it. After market goodies galore! Great fun to drive! Something unique in a world of boring clone cars!
If you are looking for a bullet proof 4X4 that is extremely competent straighth out of the box but which with a vast selection of aftermarket parts can be customised in 1000's of different combinations this is the vehicle for you. Ratings in Uk car magazines slam the on road handling but once you get used to that wonderful 4 litre engine and the bags of torque it provides you will be smilling from ear to ear. Its a soft top with serious attitude, the in line engine just runs and runs and the fun value is immense.
Owned for more than 5 years.
