Hewlett Packard Laserjet 4+ Review

Designed and built like a tank, these machine's just keep on going, they are reliable, solid and cheap to run.

Whilst not as fast as a more modern laser printer, they still manage a pretty good 8 pages per minute, with good, clear sharp text and graphics (especially if you upgrade and add extra memory to the printer)

They can be picked up on ebay VERY cheaply, usually for less than the cost of an inkjet! Running costs are low, as you can get toners on ebay also, or buy toners from many sites on the web at a fraction of the price you would pay for a newer laser printer toner.

Spares, should you need any can be picked up on ebay, in fact, you can even buy a second printer to use as spares, for less than the price you would pay to have a modern printer repaired!

These machines were built for business, they can cope with 20 Thousand pages a month, thats more than enough for home use.

If you print a lot of text, and are not bothered about colour printing, then you could do a lot worse than pick up one of these printers, add a bit extra memory in, and yuo have a true workhorse.
