These bikes are totally reliable and you can still get the big end bearings replaced. You will find that the engine will outlast the bike as their weak point is the rear mudgard which is part of the frame. The later Cub models are a vast improvement.
If you know the bike's limitations it will last you for years. They ain't superbikes but they will get you to work OK.
The things to look for when buying one is rust on the weight bearing parts of the front suspension as water can get inside. The same applies to the rear mudgard above the suspension units. If there has been any paint retouching or filler in these areas then don't touch it. There should be plenty of engines still around for this model as well
