I only gave the performance 4 because it can always be better :)
This bike feels great to ride and it is a featherweight. But this does not mean lack of control. This is the first 'real' bike I have owned and what a difference it makes.
The lightweight construction means that those uphills do not kill you but it does not compromise strength of the bike. The frame is made from a magnesium alloy and the rims cut out un-necessary spokes to give a lighter ride. Also, the spokes are not like the norm, they are blades - almost like little wings to cut down on drag.
Also, the bike looks a lot better than the 2004 model and because its a year older, I got mine for half the price (brand new). The only notable differences between the 2 models is a new (more bland) paintjob and a front and rear disc brake.
Overall, its a superb bike - even better when its half price! If your thinking on a step-up from an Apollo or a Raleigh bike then look this way :)
Owned for 6 months.
