Well I am on to my 16th attempt to clean the heads after the black has just blocked again !!!
Please do yourself a favour and not only should you walk away from this printer as another reviewer has suggested but walk away from any Epson load of junk.
This is the third Epson I have owned - NEVER AGAIN !!!. All have suffered this problem with heads blocking, and I have heard from so many people who have suffered the same, it makes me wonder why Epson are still in business.

The printer is not what one expects from Epson. The nozzles clog frequently and it takes at least 4 cleaning cycles to clear.
The main problem is that the drivers are not compatible with XP. The downloads are not user friendly to the average user.
What a piece of Junk. How this ever managed to allowed out of the factory is a mystery to me. When first installed the quality of the printout was OK, but only on normal text & graphics, not the Photo print. The Photo print quality never came close to the Demonstrations I had seen.
If unused for even short periods (2 - 3 days) the noozels for the ink block up. There is a clean tool in the software, this uses the ink to force through the noozles. Sometime I had to run the clean tool 4 times before I could print standard colour text documents, even more to try to print a photo.
When I updated my OS to XP the drivers would not install properly & it wouldn't even work with LPT1 parallel port.
A work collegue has had similar problems with a later model & had no good response form the UK support team
If you see one, laugh at it & walk away.
