Absolutly spot on boat. We have had 41' boats, multihulls, you name it and for overall fun and vaalue this one tops the lot.

Lots of comments about the headlining, I agree, I am just renewing mine with new lining on 3mm backing ply. dirty job but quite acheivable to the DIY amature like me, and total cost about £350!

Anyone wants picture of the relining just email.

Don't intend to change it in the foreseable future...

I have had this boat for 6 years now, and I made a lot of renovations including replacing the liner with wood panelling. You can visit the Jeanneau owners' website. The Tonic has all the atributes and compares to 26-27 footers. Interior volume, craftmanship, safety, I give this boat a flying 10. I intend to keep and enjoy my boat for many years to come.

See December 2003 or January 2004 Practical Boat Owner regarding replacement of interior linings. The sun does the damage to the lining and adhesive. My 1988 Tonic needs new linings but that's the same for most boats nowadays unless they are wood lined.

The Tonic 23 is superior regarding its inner space: 23 feet and a separate wet room, space for 2 persons in the back and 1.7 m hight in the kitchen is marvelous. What''s really bad is the cloth on the interior of the hull. It completely desintegrates after about 15 years. Jeanneau doesn't respond when you contact them about the problem.
