Used my 2001 model from new - its my first van so I've little to compare it to other than impressions of other vans. We bought the 5 berth layout because we wanted to leave the rear bed made up (too lazy to put it away!) but wanted to retain flexibility for older children coming with us - which they rarely do now! We took out the bunk so it doesn't get in the way and we are about to get a sprung mattress made up so it will effectively be a fixed bad van. The 318 (fixed bed) shortened the lounge area just too much for us. Everything about the van is good and it is a pleasure to be away in it. Other people have comented on the kitchen space but its no worse than most vans and manageable. The TV stand is a little flimsy and I wish it had a CD player fitted as standard! All round it is a comfortable van for all year round use and a pleasure to own.
we bought our 2001 model only a matter of weeks afo. It was a private sale which included all the extras and ready to go. Before we came across it we looked at various other private sales, most were the end bathroom type with the side dinette. We almost bought one of these types, put a deposit down and then i gave it more thought, the layout wouldn't be ideal because the dinette seats were the single bed and a bunk above which are right next to the main sitting area. We have my mother and grandaughter wo will be enjoying their weekends away as well and we thought that there was no room for privacy and it wasn't too practically laid out for our needs. Luckily we got the deposit back as others had shown an interest in the same one, we then viewed our present one and knew straight away it was perfect to suit our needs. The wee yin can have the back lounge for playtime during the rainy days, giving us some peace, and at bed time, gran and the wee yin can have the end double bed with the door closed over. This is our first caravan and i appreciate that you should buy to suit yer needs, they are all good, just do different jobs for different purposes. We are over the moon with ours, could have done with rear socket at back lounge though.
Totally practical for our needs.
Limitted internal sockets.
