Almost nobody has heard of this car. This is the Peugeot badged version of the Citroen Berlingo Multispace, which is much better known. I would have bought the Citroen Berlingo Multispace except that I got a better trade in and deal from the Peugeot dealer.

Very practical, mine is the 2.0 HDi. It accelerates faster than my old 1.8i 306 Automatic.

What I like - the family love this car; the quiet but powerful diesel; the good visibility; the storage space (mine has the versatile roof); the sliding doors for easy access to load children in and out without bashing neigbouring cars; the large boot; the central locking can be set to lock automatically when you drive off; the versatile roof (modutop on the Citroen); the optional air-con, the optional cruise control :o); the boys love the little cubby holes, particularly in the floor.

What I don't like: I'm worried about the children getting their fingers chopped off by the sliding doors; the lack of technical support for any changes to the in-car entertainment system particularly in view of the severe security system (the CD/radio is hardcoded to the vehicle computer); the multiplex wiring may enable special features, but I'm worried about changing any equipment; the lack of ICE upgrades (only a CD-multichanger is available); the service indicator ticks down much faster than my mileage goes up; the lack of after-sales follow up by Peugeot UK and the dealer; and it is BUG UGLY to look at (although the Fiat Multipla is even uglier).

Other comments: This car is so tall that it renders the "location" function on the key fob pointless - you just look for the tallest car in the car park!!!

Don't reverse park this if there is a wall/tree etc. and you want to open the boot.

We call ours "The Blue Whale", which makes me Jonah. My wife's car is a Smart, so it's very much "little and large".

People tend to get out of the way around town (because the car is so tall and wide), but tend to pull out in front of you on motorways (because they assume that you can't accelerate (how wrong the are)).

Too early to comment on reliability.

The boot size (with the cover extended) is twice the size of the 306, but somehow luggage always seems to expand to fill all the available space, so I now end up carting twice as much!!!
