I own a 111 GSI and it's a great little car, infact i'm really dissapointed i've got to sell mine. When I next buy a car I will probaly buy another one which is as good a recommendation as I can give.

Plus I am 6ft 2in and I fit in the drivers seat with ease.

Had my 114 Gta 8v about a year and like it a lot. It's not flash but who cares when you do mainly to and from work driving? It's comfortable at 70 or so onthe Motorway and nippy enough around town and dead easy to park.

I've uprated the brake pads and added Avo shocks because the suspension is pretty lowsy on these cars. Makes the ride a whole lot better. Got new front bushes and now need a backbox but that's cheap enough as parts are easy to get.

All in all, if you can put up with the niggling rattles and want a reliable town car for small money, a secondhand one of these is great. The 8v is far better than the 16v for head gasket trouble too.

Had my 1.1 Rover 100 6 years ('96 version) and can't bear to part with it - I do need a bigger car now really though, as it's not really a family car! Great size for two people - especcially if your not too long-legged.

Never really had any problems with it, hardy spent anything at service time. (better not say too much). Would say it's a little prone to suspension problems though. Very economical all round.

What has most impressed me over the years is what I can fit in it with the rear seats down! Came in handy when moving house.

A great nippy car that fits in the tightest gaps around!

I couldn't believe there wasn't a column for Rover Metro's! oh well im starting one!

I've been a massive enthusiast of the beloved Metro for years and Rovers in general. Theres just something about them I love, not to mention how underestimated they seem to be, i've caused many an embarasement!, so sorry to all Vauxhall, Ford, Citroen owners etc. but you do get outclased a lot of the time performance wise!!

They make great cars to project on too, as parts are rarely available it makes them interesting when you do and custom stuff looks great! anyway just thought i'd start a big debate whether Metro's / 100's are good or not, which will prob cause arguments for years to come!!!! they get my vote anyway!

I've had my metro for a few months now, but I am getting fed up with the old grey plastic interior trim, anyone know of anywhere in the south east who can sell interior trim material that would look good in a metro
