Having owned 2 FJs in the past I sold my last one around a year ago to buy a Pan Euro Dont get me wrong the Pan is a Great Bike but after putting up with hellish wind noise for a year i could stand it no more so I sold the Pan to buy a Mint 1991 FJ with full luggage for under £1 K I have never been so happy with a bike It pulls like a train & has all the power anyone would wish for even though it looks a wee bit out dated by modern standardsbut i will keep up with most sports bikes if you are mad enough,You can get all the parts you need through the FJ club on even on ebay without costing a packet So all in all if your looking for a superb powerfull bike you wont go far wrong with a FJ with this being my 3rd I sould know by now. Only week points are fork seals & clutch seal if you leave them on the side stand too long you will need to bleed the clutch a small price to pay for such a great bike without costing a arm & leg you even get cheap insurance what more could you want?

Well the truth is I have not got my 1200 yet but due to pick it up this week end. And have been reading all I can about the Bike from experienced owners, I have always wanted one of these now finally got one, However my future 1992 Bike does not have Panniers nor a top box, and I woild like to get hold of a corbin seat as well.
So I guess my question is does anyone out there have or know of any boxes or a seat for sale, and more importantly any hints tips or advice re owning one of these beasts

When cold they tend to jump quite a bit when engaging 1st gear. This can be lessened to a degree by pulling in the cluth lever 6-7 times before engaging gear. The FJ owners club is a fantastic source of cheaper parts and advice, if you like your FJ, contact them. Tony
